[Dow Jones] Among all fossil fuels, natural gas has robust fundamentals for growth because it is less carbon intensive, says Simon Flowers, chief analyst at Wood Mackenzie. Growth in coal production has started to slow down, while crude oil may also be headed that way. From the global point of view, gas is going to be a good industry, he says. The difficulty with gas is taking it out. Many big gas discoveries are found in frontier areas including deep water, Mr Flowers says.
