美国原油产量减少，但是库存增加

　　据道琼斯1月5日消息，美国能源信息署（EIA）周四发布的报告让市场可以快速地对2016年美国石油行业进行回顾。报告显示，美国石油产量已经从2015年底时的920万桶/天减少至2016年底时的880万桶/天。但是石油库存则从4.51亿桶上升至4.79亿桶。这看起来似乎相悖，但是2016年美国原油进口量比2015年增加。此外，低油价刺激石油需求大幅增加的愿望也已经落空。上周美国汽油需求为850万桶/天，比2015年底的需求仅增加了30万桶/天，不过比两年前同期的需求减少了30万桶/天。

　　Todays EIA report allows for a quick gander at what the US oil industry did in 2016. It shows the US produced 8.8M bpd of oil at the end of 2016, down from 9.2M in the final week of 2015. But its stockpiles are actually higher, at 479M barrels vs 451M at the end of 2015. That may seem contradictory, but the US imported significantly more crude oil in 2016 than 2015. Whats more, hopes for oil demand to spike due to lower prices hasnt panned out. Gasoline demand was 8.5M bpd last week, 300k more than same week a year ago and 300k less than two years ago.
