三个州的钻机数量各下降1部：北达科他州51部、西弗吉尼亚州13部、加利福尼亚州12部。

Baker Hughes: Canada drops 37 rigs for the week

Canada has dropped 37 rigs for the week ended Mar. 6, according to Baker Hughes data. With 203 rigs running, the count is higher than the 189 units drilling this week a year ago. The number of oil-directed rigs in Canada decreased by 29, bringing the count to 134 rigs for the week. Gas-directed rigs were down 8 units to 69.

The US drilling rig count, meanwhile, increased 3 units to 793 rigs working for the week. The count is down 234 units from the 1,027 rigs working this time a year ago.

At 768 rigs working, one additional unit was drilling on land week-over-week. The number of offshore units was up by one to 23 units for the week. The number of rigs drilling in inland waters also was up by one to reach 2 rigs working for the week.

US oil-directed rigs gained 4 units from last week to 682 units working, down from the 834 rigs drilling for oil this week a year ago. Gas-directed rigs were down one unit to 109, and down from the 193 units drilling for gas a year ago.

Among the major oil and gas-producing states, Texas and Louisiana saw the largest increase in rigs, each with a 3-unit gain to reach 404 and 52, respectively. New Mexico and Utah each saw a single-unit increase to reach 116 and 7 rigs running, respectively.

Four states were unchanged this week: Pennsylvania, 24; Colorado, 21; Ohio, 11; and Alaska, 10.

Oklahoma and Wyoming dropped two rigs each to reach 46 and 21 rigs running, respectively

Three states saw a single-unit drop for the week: North Dakota, 51; West Virginia, 13; and California, 12.
