Saudi Aramco CEO Amin H. Nasser says global oil demand will continue its steady recovery, noting he's "not as concerned about a second-wave" of coronavirus resurgence because "all countries, all medical establishments are much better prepared." In a chat with IHS Markit, Nasser says global oil demand, which was normally just above 100M bpd, had fallen to 75-80M bpd in April, but is now at around 90M, and says some forecasts put demand up toward 95-97M bpd by the end of the year. "Gasoline and diesel [demand] are picking up to pre-COVID levels," he says. "Jet fuel is still lagging in terms of less air travel. More countries will start opening up."
